Any Safety Management System has a fundamental requirement for Risk Assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and compare the levels of risk against the measures that are in place to control them.

There are numerous types of Risk Assessment that may be required in establishing an effective Safety Management System, many of which may be completed at the same time as an Initial Status Review.
