NEBOSH Fire Certificate

Who should attend?

Individuals with specific responsibility for managing fire safety within the workplace who require a nationally recognised qualification to demonstrate competence.

Objectives

To provide a vocational qualification in fire safety, examined to NVQ level 3.

Pre-requisites

There are no specific pre-requisites for this course, although IOSH Managing Safety is a useful foundation. Candidates must be able to apply themselves to short essay-style written assessments.

Course Content

• NGC1 - Management of Health and Safety
• FC1 - Fire Safety and Risk Management
• FC2 - Practical Fire Risk Assessment

Course Assessment

• NGC1 - 2 hour written examination
• FC1 - 2 hour written examination
• FC2 - Practical Inspection and Report to Management

Duration

10 days plus 2 days examinations and revision.
