Who Should Attend?

Individuals who are required to investigate events, incidents and accidents as well as to further their development of investigation techniques.

Course objectives:

• To be able to create an accurate record of an incident - physical evident and witness accounts
• To be able to identify the immediate and underlying causes
• To be able to propose targeted action

Course Content:

• Understanding the need to investigate accidents
• RIDDOR
• Traditional approaches to investigating
• Understanding of human factors (people errors)
• Collecting information for the investigation
• Interviewing witnesses and taking statements
• Identifying immediate and underlying causes
• Proposing actions

Course Assessment:

No formal assessment, however certificate of attendance and Continuous Professional development (CPD) points will be issued.
